Paraeducator job description 2026
Woodstock Christian School is an inclusive, multi-denominational school in Southwestern Ontario. We are seeking to hire a definite part-time and definite full-time Paraeducator (Educational Assistants/Personal Support Worker) for the 2026-2027 school year.
Preferred candidates will show Christian commitment, and have post-secondary EA, ECE, PSW or other relevant credentials. Ideally, candidates will have experience supporting students with physical, behavioural, and academic needs. Professionalism, a strong work ethic, superior communications skills, and adhering to confidentiality and school policies are requirements of the positions. Being able to work effectively on a team, and be patient, calm, and self-motivated are assets.
Main duties of the positions include: supporting various students within classrooms across multiple grade levels, collaborating and working within a supportive team model, implementing education plans, assisting students self-care tasks, and record keeping. Starting wage range for this position will be $22-$25 / hour, depending on applicants credentials and relevant experience. The application deadline is June 21, 2026.
Full time or Part time nurse- Woodstock Christian School is also hiring a casual full time or part time nurse beginning September 2026. Candidates will show Christian commitment, have a passion for working with children, be a team player, and will be certified as a RN or RPN. Tracheostomy, ventilation, and G-tube experience would be an asset, but training can be provided. Ideal candidates would also be willing to provide general classroom support in an early years classroom setting. Bus Driver needed: WCS is hiring a full-time bus driver for the 2026-2027 school year. The position begins in September. Funding for training is available through the Ontario Job grant. Our drivers report that they love this job because of the children and because the driving schedule completely matches that of their children’s school schedule.
